The Winning Attitude

Published by okiesown at 8:00 am under Uncategorized Edit This

We all see those self-help shows and the magazines offering you big tips on living a better life just by changing your attitude, and I often wondered if there was any truth to what these people are charging big bucks to say. I would never pay for such advice but have read a little bit about it, so I decided a couple of weeks ago to try to change my attitude to see if it would make my life better. I read an article on aol about bringing luck your way.

Because I enter sweepstakes and because I win some people have always said that I am a lucky person. I’ve never felt that way, I’m always down and blue and I never get to keep what I win because others bug me for my prize until I just give in and give it to them. I have not really won much this year mostly because I cut down on entering due to people expecting me to just hand over what I put my time in to win, but it has changed a bit in the past few weeks since deciding to put forth the rules in the article I read about and it was about bringing luck home to you.

My life is not what you would call better but the change in attitude has either been helping me to feel better or it’s a fluke, I’m not sure which. I have won three great prizes in the past several weeks. One was a gaming system so I was able to make a game room in the middle bedroom for my grandsons. I was asked to pass this win onto someone else’s grandkids but I stood firm and said no. I put in the time to fill out the form for this prize and this prize is going to be for my babies, period. Then last week I won a small gift card for amazon.com, and then yesterday I won a very good sized prize from someone I can’t disclose who until the paperwork is signed and notarized and sent back in and accepted. I had in mind what I wanted to buy with this large win when I entered it, but I have already been told different, and I know it’s more practical but I sure wanted something else very badly.

So I put in the effort to change my attitude to a winning attitude and it paid off, but the sadness and depression still stick with me fighting to come out and show itself to the world. This though could be due to the fact that I never get to do what I want with what I win. The article I read was really not that great and informing, it just said to dress up every day and it would make you feel better, and to walk and talk and act like you’re the luckiest person on earth and it will come to you. So I tried it and it may or may not have worked. I have gotten three good wins since changing my attitude from hateful to winner, but is it a fluke? How can these prize company’s know if your attitude is up to par? I will never know and I can just hope that one day I can do what I want with what I win.
